Combining Science and Spirituality

Summer Solstice 2001
During the time of the 2001 Summer Solstice, I was meditating on how we, as human beings, could do something for the earth that could add a healing influence to the planet’s body itself. I asked, how could we make direct use of our capacity to love and express that love, believing as I do, that it is the love shared between people, animals, nature and divinity that is the catalyst for recovery and transformation?

Future Talk- Creating Paradise on Earth

Deepak Chopra on the Divine Bodies
Dr.Deepak Chopra, a Vedic medical practitioner and world renowned educator, with whom I have had dialogues for a decade described the Vedic world view of the human being’s body, its relationship to nature and the universe or cosmos. Speaking with me, from the The Chopra Center for Well Being, Deepak made it clear as he does most things he addresses that, ”the physical body is a microcosm of the universal body. Each of us has a personal body but we also have a universal body. The personal body comes and goes, the universal body is always there. When we look at the environment we see it as part of our extended body. We are part of the ecosystem, we are part of the web of life. “ Deepak has a way of igniting images in the mind as he speaks. “The trees are our lungs. The earth is our physical body. The waters, the rivers are our circulation and the air is our breath. “

The Future of Robotic and Artificial Intelligence

Sunday, September 4th, 2005

(Published in UFO Magazine Apr/May 02)

The creation and application of artificial intelligence will impact the 21st Century in much the way the internal combustion engine impacted the last century. Always trying to get a sense of the future, Zohara Hieronimus featured a series of interviews on her nationally syndicated radio program, “Future Talk”, to address this subject and how it will impact the quality of human life. Among the world renowned scientists and educators who have discussed artificial intelligence on “Future Talk” are Hans Moravec, Freeman Dyson, Ray Kurzweil, and James Martin. Unanimous in the opinion that computerization of tasks, networking of systems and autonomously reproducing systems are being created, the disagreements lie in determining the degree to which any of these changes could pose a threat to our own evolution. All agree that to some degree an automated evolution is imminent.

Hello, Paradise!

Sunday, September 4th, 2005

When I began The Zoh Show , in November of 1992, a daily talk radio program I hosted, which aired most of its nine years from WCBM 680 am in the Baltimore/Washington corridor, the statement, “you have mail,” was used in our house when dividing up the mail. Today, millions of us hear the refrain depending on how many times we use an internet email provider. I say this as a way of shorthand, to show that a decade ago we were still receiving most of our mail via one of the few federally obligated tasks, mail delivery, and yet now we communicate worldwide, literally in seconds. We have displaced in part already, one set of workers and services and replaced or augmented them with another, due to a new technology.

Melting Down Denial

Sunday, September 4th, 2005

During the past 20 years that I have covered environmental issues, one of the few things that has changed, in terms of the corporate paradigm, is the amount of money they must be spending to try and convince the average person, that if in fact there is any global warming, it’s only natural. That there is nothing to be concerned about. While scientists can easily show that the last 50 years on earth are the warmest recorded, as reflected in our ice cores, an excellent measurement of our civilization’s rising and falling temperatures, they can also show that while glacial and interglacial periods are cyclic, a fossil fuel-based energy system, as ours has been for centuries, is in fact altering the biosphere’s ecosystems.

Catastrophe in Paradise

In a series of interviews I conducted on Future Talk, my syndicated radio program, the topic of catastrophism was central. In the case of a discussion with geologist and archeologist Robert Schoch, author of Voices of The Rocks, A Scientist Looks at Catastrophes and Ancient Civilizations, it was in part, an examination of the flaws in approaching humanity’s history as though it were linear, because all evidence suggests it is in fact cyclic; a long serial unfoldment of civilizations rising and disappearing. James Perloff’ book Tornado in a Junkyard: The Relentless Myth of Darwinism, made it decidedly clear, that there is little physical evidence to support the theory of evolution as a model for homosapien’s original appearance on earth. With Lynette and Arthur Horn, whose work is entitled: Humanity’s Extraterrestrial Origins: ET Influences on Humankind’s Biological & Cultural Evolution, (more…)

Robot’s Rule

Artificial intelligence is, some suggest, the next frontier for humanity. Creating neural networks that perform functions, that one day may perform better than our own biological systems, seems to be the big excitement in academic circles, where ‘tinkering’ with mathematical, electrical and robotic models is facilitated. Professor Emeritus of Physics at Princeton, Freeman Dyson, author of The Sun, the Genome and the Internet said of his own life as a mathematician, working in particle physics among other interests, that it was “scribbling, it has no real usefulness at all , other than to others who like to scribble and talk in numbers.” He called it, his “livelihood,” while his real concerns, as I noted during our discussion, were alleviating suffering. His work in numbers, he insisted, did not do that. According to others, numbers in fact can do that.

The Listening Writings

The following series of forty-two “received writings” took place between Jan. 17, 2002 and May 23, 2002. They are each dated and the time of reception given. I found them very illuminating and consider that the Council of Six beings who dictated them to me by some form of mental transference gave over a beautiful type of spiritual science. Please share them with others. This is the first publication of these writings.

What we are here to tell you, is not new. But the telling is. Many of you are working towards the sweeping changes of the earth. This is good. At the same time we offer some caution. It isn’t by good deeds alone that the world is transformed, but by the love in the deed. It is said that many try, but few succeed. In truth, all succeed but few try.

Purpose is a verb. One does not possess purpose like an article of clothing. One unfolds its direction. As soon as one has even a corner of that purpose, by unrolling it from there, the entire purpose is seen, even though not yet performed. Too many people try to create purpose. More should allow the purpose to come to them. It is like two magnets of opposite polarities. They will be attracted to each other. Souls come with a set of challenges to overcome. The way to do that , is always attracted to them.
